Take advantage of a number of valuable ECS Financing
Services:
Asset Disposition
ECS can assist you with asset disposition when IT equipment
reaches end-of-life. The experts from ECS understand
the best ways to optimize the value of old assets and
get you the highest possible return when upgrading to
new technology.
Option Analysis
Receive a thorough review of the various options your
company can use to acquire IT infrastructure. ECS can
provide a cost/benefit analysis of cash purchases, manufacturer
leases, and alternative approaches that might provide
substantial savings. By choosing from among the available
options, ECS can recommend a plan that provides the
highest Return on Investment (ROI).
Technology Refresh
ECS has an exclusive technology refresh program that
enables companies suffering from outdated equipment
to substantially increase productivity. If your IT assets
are two years old or more, let the consultants at ECS
show you how to use the existing cash flow for maintenance
to fund the acquisition of significantally more productive
technology. ECS has helped many companies on a budget
purchase powerful new technology previously thought
to be unattainable.
Refurbished Equipment
For companies looking to get refurbished equipment at
deep discounts, ECS can provide authorized remarketed
equipment that undergoes full refurbishment to exact
standards set by the manufacturer. Refurbished equipment
may come available as a result of trade-ins, disposal
in favor of newer technology, product returns, stock
rotations, manufacturing excess, surplus shipments,
order cancellations or ex-trade show hardware.
Why consider refurbished equipment?
- Price- significant savings may be available over
new equipment
- Technology- extend or upgrade your existing platform
with product that is no longer available
- Availability- refurbished equipment may be more
readily available than brand new (for more mature
products)
- Warranty- available on HP refurbished equipment,
from 12 months on obsolete products to three years
for some current products.
Instant Capacity on Demand (iCOD)
With HP's iCOD solutions, HP 9000 and HP Integrity servers
can be fully populated with high-performance PA-RISC
and Itanium CPUs at a significantly lower cost with
capacity on demand CPUs. It is no longer necessary to
pay for CPUs until you need them. These additional iCOD
CPUs can be activated instantly with a simple command,
providing immediate increases in processing power to
accommodate application traffic demands. iCOD is only
available with HP-UX.
iCOD is also a High Availability feature. In the unlikely
event that a CPU fails, the HP system will automatically
replace the failed CPU on the cell board at no additional
charge-without rebooting. In online mode, the iCOD CPU
brings the system back to full performance and capacity
levels, reducing downtime and ensuring no degradation
in performance. This high availability feature is available
on CPUs and not cell boards.
iCOD is a purchase model. Companies purchase a RTA (right-to-access)
product. This is an inactive component (CPU, cell board
or memory) that is installed in the system. When the
company is ready to permanently activate, they purchase
the RTU (right-to-use) product or "enablement"
to turn the component on permanently. Contact ECS about
whether an iCOD solution is right for you.
